Guhn Twei - Capitale de l’arsenic TAPE

« Capitale de l’arsenic » surprises with its heavy sound and poignant lyrics. More than 45 minutes of committed metal serve as a vehicle for a strong message which denounces an industry which destroys a population and its environment.

The title ‘’Capitale de l’arsenic’’ attacks head-on the climate of censorship generated by the presence of the Horn Foundry in Rouyn-Noranda which rejects contaminants without regard for environmental standards or for the health of the population, with the government complicity. A scathing music video illustrates the point of the song.

The astonishing piece « Omertà » which closes the album, is preceded by a poem written and narrated by Alexandre Castonguay, on the theme of ‘’to stay alive’’. Simon Turcotte, a cancer survivor, follows with a performance that culminates in an explosion of rage and revolt that makes one clench one’s fists.
